Completing Your MyBeta Profile
Upon being reported as a new member by a chapter officer, new members will be invited to the MyBeta portal to complete their registration. New members will not be able to access the rest of their MyBeta portal until they complete their registration. Additionally, if you’re logging into MyBeta for the first time, you’ll also have to verify your information through this process. To complete your registration:
- Update your preferred name, contact information and mailing address.
- Provide parent or guardian contact information.
- Provide an address for the new member materials box to be shipped. If using a dorm or apartment address, please make sure to include your room and building number.
- Click Save to be automatically redirected to the main profile page.
NOTE – You may not be able to access the chapter dashboard or receive your badge and shingle without first completing your registration.
Updating Your Preferences
With the exception of preference settings managed prior to the July 2025 transition to the new MyBeta portal, all new members are automatically opted in to be included in the directory and to receive Beta’s communications by default. Rather than deleting your contact information, we’ve made it easy to “opt-out” of having your contact information included.
Contact Information
Members can opt in or out of receiving the following communication types:
- General Fraternity Updates
- Foundation solicitations
- Communication from and regarding Beta’s preferred vendors
Additionally, members can refine the channels they would like to receive communication, including:
- Direct mail
- Phone call
- Text messaging
Lastly, members are guaranteed a lifetime subscription to The Beta Theta Pi magazine. Members can select if they would like to receive a physical copy in the mail, digital copy via email, both versions or neither.
Please note, collegiate members and volunteers must remain subscribed to General Fraternity Updates to receiving critical updates from the Administrative Office.
Membership Directory
To opt-out of having your information included in the directory:
1. Click the “My Profile” icon on the homepage of MyBeta
2. Scroll down to the section on MyBeta directory preferences
3. Choose whether you’d like to hide your phone, address and/or email address from the directory
Please note, only members and volunteers of Beta Theta Pi will be able to access the membership directory and see any visible contact information. You can opt to hide your personal contact information, but names of all brothers, alumni and volunteers will still appear in the directory with only contact information hidden.
Updating Your Education, Employment and Involvement History
Maintaining your “MyBeta resume” is easy with new features built into the profile section of MyBeta. If you’ve attained a professional degree or started a new job, you can log your history within MyBeta. Keep track of all your involvement in one place to make it easier for your brothers to find you and keep up with what you’re doing! To update your education, employment, or campus/community involvement history:
1. Click “My Profile” from the main mySigEp home screen
2. To the right of your contact information and communication preferences, you’ll see three links: 1) Education History, 2) Employment History, and 3) Campus & Community Involvement. Navigate to the appropriate page you’d like to update.
3. You can either add a new record or update an existing record. If your organization isn’t listed, check the box to type in the organization name manually.
Editing Your Profile
Have you moved to a new city? Do you have a new phone number or email address? Make sure that information is updated on your profile to ensure that you’re getting the most accurate up-to-date information from the Fraternity. To update your profile:
Click the “My Profile” icon on the homepage of MyBeta
Review your contact information and press the edit pencil next to the item you wish to change or “Edit” towards the bottom of the screen
Make the relevant changes, and don’t forget to press “Save”
