Recent studies show fraternities are an accelerator for success both in college and beyond. Studies also show that fraternities create lifelong connections to one’s campus, and friends and fraternity members experience stronger mental health than their peers. Despite these benefits, from time to time our members may experience financial hardship that impacts their ability to remain active and engaged.
To help alleviate that hardship, the Beta Theta Pi Foundation offers chapters a limited opportunity to nominate collegiate members for scholarships who are considering or were granted temporarily inactive (TIA) status.
The Foundation hopes that offering $250 scholarships to those in need will significantly reduce the number of temporarily inactive Betas, allowing them to fully enjoy the benefits of membership. Those nominated will be asked to submit a brief application to receive a $250 scholarship, which will be issued via direct check to the recipient.
Chapter officers, please submit this form to nominate a collegian from your chapter whose membership might remain “active” (not on TIA) if they were to receive a $250 scholarship.
Note: Nomination does not guarantee that the member(s) you identify will receive the assistance. Still, the Foundation will ensure that those you nominate are aware of this opportunity. Nominees must be submitted individually; however, a link will be provided on the confirmation page to submit an additional name or two.
